Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan expressed his concern regarding the US approach to regional issues in an interview with the publication “Financial Times”. He stated that Washington's attempt to solve all problems simultaneously could complicate the negotiation process.
The editorial reports, citing the Financial Times, that Hakan Fidan noted that even progress on the nuclear dossier would be impossible if the US insists on discussing all issues in parallel. The minister emphasized that such an approach could lead to a deadlock in the process.
According to Fidan, this could ultimately create the risk of a new war in the region. He highlighted the importance of building diplomatic mechanisms on a phased and realistic basis and called on the parties to adopt a more flexible stance.
