Armenia is preparing to grant exclusive rights to the USA for the development of a transit corridor between Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. According to Reuters, this project, named “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity,” envisages the creation of a strategic transport route passing through the South Caucasus.
The editorial office reports that negotiations and the signing of agreements are planned for August 8 at the White House, with the participation of US President Donald Trump, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. According to the agreement, the Minsk Group, which has been involved in resolving the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan since 1992, will cease its activities.
Donald Trump stated that during the meeting at the White House, the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan will sign a peace agreement. This step is expected to create new opportunities for long-term stability and cooperation in the region.
