The Nakhchivan Agreement, the 15th anniversary of whose signing we celebrated last year, marked the beginning of the successful development path of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
This was stated by Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov during his speech at the meeting of heads of government-vice presidents of OTS member countries held in Bishkek.
According to him, modern global challenges demand closer cooperation and agile decisions from us:
"In this regard, exchanging views, aligning our positions, and forming common approaches within the framework of OTS is of great importance. The unification of the efforts of Turkic states is crucial for ensuring stability, security, and prosperity."
A. Asadov noted that mutually beneficial cooperation opens new opportunities for expanding trade and economic ties between countries, strengthening our economic potential, and diversifying transport corridors.
The Prime Minister also emphasized that the Nakhchivan Agreement, the 15th anniversary of whose signing we celebrated last year, marked the beginning of our organization's successful development path:
"During this period, we have established multifaceted cooperation based on our common history, culture, and language. Our organization operates in many directions. Its geographical scope, natural resource potential, and human capital transform our organization into an entity of strategic importance in the international arena."
"As Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said, the Organization of Turkic States is the main international organization for us because it is our family. We fully support the increase in our organization's political and economic influence in the region and globally. Azerbaijan has established strategic partnership or alliance relations with all member states of the Organization of Turkic States on a bilateral basis," Ali Asadov added.
