In a statement at CES 2026, Dell announced that its new product line will not be solely focused on artificial intelligence, and that computers without AI functionalities will also be produced.
Reporting via PC Gamer, Dell's Head of Product Kevin Tervilliger emphasized that consumers purchase devices for specific outcomes and benefits, not just for AI, and noted that AI often confuses buyers.
According to him, instead of helping consumers understand the real capabilities of a product, AI sometimes has the opposite effect, which is why Dell has re-evaluated its marketing strategy.
Based on the information, Dell is not completely abandoning AI technologies but acknowledges that the concept is not an effective tool for boosting sales. While the hardware remains compatible with modern technologies, AI is not specifically highlighted in the advertising materials for the latest device models.
