A new artificial intelligence model being developed by DeepSeek is being evaluated for its potential to surpass existing leading solutions in coding and software engineering tasks. The model is expected to be released around February 17, 2026, and is reportedly aiming to outperform systems like Claude and ChatGPT in terms of technical capabilities.

According to editorial information, based on internal tests and leaks from within the industry, one of the model's key advantages is its ability to handle very long code texts. This approach is said to enable more efficient analysis and reconstruction of entire codebases.

Information suggests that the new model incorporates a memory system called Engram and an architectural innovation named Manifold-Constrained Hyper-Connections. These technologies aim to improve the accuracy of results, strengthen logical consistency, and reduce the demand on GPU memory by separating core memory from active logical processes.

Based on claimed internal metrics, the model outperforms systems like Claude 3.5 Sonnet and GPT-4o in coding tests. Analysts note that to confirm full superiority, it is crucial for the model to surpass Claude Opus 4.5's SWE-bench accuracy rate of 80.9 percent.

It is reported that DeepSeek is positioning the new model as a hybrid approach for enterprise-level programmers, combining deep logic and high-efficiency code generation, rather than a general-purpose assistant. Thanks to the Mixture of Experts architecture, it is emphasized that these capabilities will be delivered at lower operational costs.
