The Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Azerbaijan announced today that identity and authorization verification has been made mandatory for real estate and vehicle listings through the Electronic Listing Approval System (EETS). The Ministry stated in its post, "To ensure our citizens conduct secure transactions, and to prevent fraudulent listings and scams; as the Ministry of Trade, we are resolutely continuing our work."
Redaksiya reports that, "With the Electronic Listing Approval System (EETS); we have made identity and authorization verification mandatory for real estate and vehicle listings. Listings can now only be posted by property owners, their first and second-degree relatives, or authorized real estate and garage enterprises via e-Government. All online listing platforms have been integrated with EETS, and this regulation covers all electronic environments, including social media. Only links to verified listings are permitted to be shared in listing posts made through social media. Administrative sanctions are applied to listings published in violation of the regulations during inspections conducted by our Ministry of Trade."
The Ministry added that, "It is of great importance for our citizens to be vigilant against listings posted by unauthorized individuals, sales of real estate and vehicles that do not actually exist, and advance payment fraud. To ensure trust in the markets..."
