Legal protection as an industrial design will not be granted to objects that contain, reflect, or imitate state symbols (flag, emblem), banknotes, their names, and recognizable parts.
This is reflected in the amendment to the Law "On Patents" approved by President Ilham Aliyev.
At the same time, legal protection as an industrial design will not be granted to objects that contain, reflect, or imitate the abbreviated or full names of international and intergovernmental organizations, their flags, emblems, other symbols and signs, as well as the names and recognizable parts of these symbols and signs, awards, official badges, control stamps, official marks, seals, distinctive signs, their names and recognizable parts, or the official names, descriptions, or recognizable parts of cultural (including ethnic and religious) heritage objects belonging to any state without the consent of the relevant authorized body (institution) of that state.
Legal protection will not be granted to these objects - President approved
