Restrictions will be applied to the number of additional permits for passenger transportation by taxi cars.
Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a Decision regarding this.
According to the Decision, the maximum number of additional permits issued for passenger transportation by taxi cars within the administrative territorial unit of Baku city has been set at 25,000 (twenty-five thousand).
Additional permits for passenger transportation by taxi cars have been issued in accordance with the Competition Code, the laws “On Licenses and Permits” and “On Motor Transport,” and taking into account the order of application.
The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport must submit its proposals regarding the maximum number of additional permits for passenger transportation by taxi cars within the administrative territorial unit of Baku city to the Cabinet of Ministers by August 1 of each calendar year.
This Decision comes into force on November 1, 2025, and remains in effect until the date a new maximum number of additional permits, as mentioned in the first part of this Decision, is determined.
