The use of the metro by 227 million passengers in Baku last year prevented 430 thousand tons of CO₂ emissions.
This was reported to the Editorial Office by "Baku Metro" CJSC.
According to the information, this is equivalent to the amount of CO₂ absorbed by 20 million trees in a year or the CO₂ emissions generated by 100,000 cars in the city annually.
