Relations in the military-technical sphere stand out as one of the important directions of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine
Today, we must note that relations in the military-technical sphere also hold special importance as one of the significant directions of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine. This issue was among the points specifically highlighted in the statement made to the press by Head of State Mr. Ilham Aliyev during Volodymyr Zelenskyy's recent working visit to our country. The Head of State noted that a detailed exchange of views was held between the parties in this direction, and the existence of great potential for expanding cooperation was confirmed.
As is known, the military-industrial complex in both Azerbaijan and Ukraine has entered a stage of dynamic development in recent years. This, in turn, creates a favorable ground for the application of new technologies in the defense industry, increasing production capabilities, and expanding international cooperation. The statement particularly noted broad opportunities for implementing joint production projects, exchanging experience, and strengthening industrial cooperation. The esteemed President emphasized that, in addition to military-technical cooperation, the organization of joint production in the industrial sector generally serves the economic interests of the parties, and concrete initiatives in this direction were discussed.
Such cooperation serves not only to strengthen defense capabilities but also to increase industrial potential, create new jobs, and accelerate technological development. In his speech, President Ilham Aliyev also drew attention to the intensity of meetings held at the level of heads of state.
It was noted that the holding of seven meetings over the past four years, including the last one in Munich, indicates that Azerbaijan-Ukraine relations are developing with high dynamics. These meetings make a significant contribution to strengthening mutual understanding, increasing coordination on strategic issues, and identifying new directions for cooperation. It should be specially noted that relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine are built on the principles of mutual respect, trust, and consideration of national interests. This approach ensures the sustainability and reliability of the partnership. There is no doubt that Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to Azerbaijan will make a significant contribution to further strengthening friendly and strategic partnership relations between the two countries, expanding existing cooperation, and opening new perspectives.
