It is understood from Konstantin Zatulin's article published in "Moskovskiy komsomolets", where the rage in his bulging eyes, after Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's recent visit to Moscow, leapt into his absurd considerations and claims rich in illogicality, that it was not Armenia that was defeated in the war with Azerbaijan, but Zatulin himself, one of the most unsuccessful deputies of the Russian State Duma. The Azerbaijani Army put an end not only to the occupation but also to the wretched political careers and disgusting corporate interests of people like Konstantin Zatulin.
This was stated by Milli Majlis deputy Elchin Mirzabayli in a statement to Trend.
The MP stated that it is no coincidence that Konstantin Zatulin, one of the simplest and cheapest representatives of the propaganda aimed at promoting surrender for the occupation of Azerbaijani lands for many years, voices the same theses as separatists and war criminals, and tries to diminish Azerbaijan's victory at all costs:
“Because he fed from the same 'plate' as Kocharyan, Sargsyan, and other war criminals, and he absolutely cannot accept his disgraceful defeat in a process to which almost his entire political career was dedicated.”
The deputy stated that in the article by Zatulin, who is the director of the CIS Institute, one sentence contradicts another:
“Zatulin cannot accept under any circumstances that Armenia recognized the territorial integrity, inviolability of borders, and sovereignty of Azerbaijan in 1991. Furthermore, Zatulin and those who share his slanderous views cannot digest the fact that Armenia recognized Azerbaijan's territorial integrity in documents signed in Prague and Washington.
The deputy of the Russian State Duma, for some reason, lacks the courage to mention the fact that the fictitious entity created by the military junta in our lands during the occupation of Azerbaijani territories was not recognized by any country, including Russia. On the contrary, he lacks the courage to mention the statements of the Russian head of state that Karabakh is an internationally recognized territory of Azerbaijan. I should note that all countries that signed the Alma-Ata Declaration mutually recognized each other's territories. Russia, too, recognized the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan within the framework of this document and other interstate declarations and agreements.
Pashinyan is right; the occupation of Azerbaijani territories truly acted as a yoke for Armenia for many years, and for the region as a whole. The liberation of Azerbaijani lands from occupation has, in fact, brought to light the truths hidden behind various exaggerated expressions and propaganda theses. Some have had their eyes opened, while others' slanderous tongues have been exposed...
It is interesting, according to Zatulin's imagination, how should processes have unfolded in the South Caucasus? For what reasons does the achievement of peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia worry Konstantin Zatulin and those who share his views? Was Russia's intention during the occupation not to achieve peace in the negotiations that lasted for nearly 30 years? If not, then the question arises: Who deceived whom? And for 30 years? On the one hand, it acted as a mediator in the negotiation process, and on the other hand, it stimulated the continuation of the occupation by providing free weapons, ammunition, and military equipment to the aggressor, supporting the military criminals who seized power in Armenia through the occupation of Azerbaijani lands.
What happened? Have concepts like “deception” and “insincere behavior” just now come to your mind?
For nearly 30 years, one million Azerbaijanis were displaced from their native homes; people were forced to live in deprivation in railway cars, tents, and unfinished buildings. Not a stone was left unturned in the Azerbaijani territories under Armenian occupation; cultural monuments belonging to the Azerbaijani people, mosques, shrines, cemeteries, and residential houses were savagely destroyed. During this period, the country Zatulin now supposedly defends did not tell the aggressor to "stop," did not say "do not touch the heritage of the Azerbaijani people, end the occupation," but verbally spoke of peace, good neighborliness, the development of mutual relations, and common values.
Who deceived whom, Zatulin? The biggest liar, instigator, and deceiver is you and those like you. People like you are enemies of all civilized humanity, of sound-minded people who want to live in peace. I was going to write "stop slandering," but I changed my mind. Because you are evil itself.”
