Azerbaijan Increases Direct Investment in Russian Economy by Over 42%

In the first nine months of this year, Azerbaijan invested 38 million 923 thousand US dollars in the Russian economy.

The editorial reports, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, that this is 42.2% more than in the same period last year.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan's share of investment in the Russian economy decreased from 2% to 1.9% of total investments.

Over the 9 months, Russia invested 181 million 208 thousand US dollars in direct investment in the Azerbaijani economy. This is 85.1% more than a year ago.

During the reporting period, Russia's share of investment in the Azerbaijani economy increased from 2.2% to 3.8% of total investments.

It should be recalled that in January-September, direct investments directed abroad from Azerbaijan amounted to 2 billion 038 million 685 thousand US dollars (47.6% more than in the same period last year), and direct investments attracted into the country from abroad amounted to 4 billion 522 million 578 thousand US dollars (4.7% more).
