President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree simplifying the issuance of visas for foreigners and stateless persons in connection with the Formula-1 race to be held in Baku in 2025.
Redaksiya reports that, according to the document, those arriving in Azerbaijan between August 25 and September 30, 2025, in connection with the Formula-1 race, will be able to obtain visas at the country's international airports. An electronic visa is not required in advance for this.
The documents that can be submitted for visa issuance are as follows:
- An accreditation card or other supporting document issued by the International Automobile Federation and “Formula One Management Limited”;
- An accreditation card issued by Baku City Circuit Operating Company;
- A ticket purchased for the Formula-1 race to be held in Baku in 2025 (including an electronic ticket or a document confirming the ticket).
Thus, race fans will be able to obtain their visas at the airport simply by presenting a ticket. This decision aims to facilitate the arrival of spectators to the country and further increase interest in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
