In the first 10 months of last year, Azerbaijan imported 547 tons of turmeric worth $981,000.
According to calculations based on data from the State Statistics Committee, this represents a 2.4% increase in value and a 5% decrease in quantity compared to the same period in 2024.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 323 tons (-11%) of turmeric worth $639,000 (-3% compared to the previous year) from India, 213 tons (+8%) worth $292,000 (+20%) from Iran, 4.23 tons (+11%) worth $39.41,000 (+5%) from Turkey, 1.2 tons worth $8,300 from Pakistan, and 0.99 tons (+65%) worth $2,000 (+2.3 times) from the United Arab Emirates.
Azerbaijan has resumed its supplies from Pakistan after a break of 5 years and 8 months. (report)
