The Azerbaijan Food Safety Institute (AQTİ) invites professional personnel to apply for the position of epidemiologist in the regions (Khachmaz, Shamakhi, Salyan, Tovuz, Ujar, Barda).
Requirements for candidates:
• Higher medical education (specializing in physician, epidemiology, hygiene, or medical prophylaxis);
• Ability to conduct research on foodborne illnesses and poisonings;
• Knowledge of epidemiological surveillance principles, disease spread dynamics, and risk analysis methods;
• Ability to work with computers, statistics, and databases.
Job responsibilities:
• Conduct epidemiological investigations into foodborne illnesses and mass poisoning incidents in the regions;
• Collect, process, and analyze epidemiological data, and prepare reports;
• Assess the risks of infectious disease transmission at various stages of the food chain;
• Integrate and interpret epidemiological data with laboratory results;
• Prepare proposals for improving epidemiological surveillance and early warning systems;
• Participate in preparing guidelines and recommendations for managing epidemiological risks in food safety.
