The next meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA) in 2025 was held under the chairmanship of Nigar Arpadarai, Chairman of the Board and Member of the National Assembly.

The main goal of the Supervisory Board, established in October 2023, is to increase transparency in AMADA's activities, implement accountable management mechanisms, and ensure compliance with international standards.

At the meeting, a presentation on AMADA's activities during the first six months of 2025 was heard. The Agency's Executive Director, Tahmina Taghi-zadeh, delivered a speech providing detailed information about the report. She presented extensive information on the measures implemented, work carried out, and results achieved during the reporting period.

The members of the Supervisory Board exchanged views on the agenda items and adopted several decisions. The report for the first half of 2025 was discussed, and the positive dynamic observed in the main areas of activity was particularly emphasized. It was decided that the existing dynamic should be maintained and the continuity of ongoing reforms ensured.

At the meeting, AMADA's initiative to host the World Anti-Doping Agency's (WADA) annual European symposium in 2026 was also discussed. The Supervisory Board assessed this initiative as a new and important stage in the Agency's activities in the international arena. It was stated that this step demonstrates Azerbaijan's active participation in the global anti-doping movement and its commitment to clean sport.

AMADA aims to continue its activities in the upcoming period, based on the principles of transparency and accountability. The Supervisory Board, in turn, will not withhold its contribution by overseeing and guiding this process.
