AMADA has sanctioned Azerbaijani and US athletes for doping.

Thrower Rena Alasgarova and arm wrestler Timothy Lewis from the USA have been disqualified for 3 years.
The presence of a prohibited substance or its metabolites or markers was detected in the samples of both athletes.
R. Alasgarova's sanction period is from June 7, 2025, to June 7, 2028. The American arm wrestler's penalty came into effect on December 12 of last year. The sanction will end on December 12, 2028.
