Airbus is preparing two XQ-58A Valkyrie unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), equipped with a European mission system for the German Air Force (Luftwaffe), for their first flight by the end of the year. This step aims to provide the Luftwaffe with cost-effective digital superiority, delivering sensors and weapons deep into contested airspace, and supporting Eurofighter combat aircraft.

Redaksiya reports that these two XQ-58A Valkyrie UAVs will be equipped with the "German mission system." This technology will enable the UAVs to participate in more complex and dangerous operations. Specifically, these UAVs will work in conjunction with Eurofighter aircraft, increasing their effectiveness and reducing risks for pilots.

The XQ-58A Valkyrie is a long-range, low-cost UAV produced by Kratos Defense & Security Solutions. These aircraft are primarily designed for reconnaissance, surveillance, and attack missions. Their equipping with the European mission system by Airbus will ensure their adaptation to NATO standards and strengthen the defense capabilities of European countries. The initial flight of two UAVs in the first phase will be a significant step for the future development of this technology.
