In the diplomat's opinion, these groups, unlike traditional criminal networks, have a more complex and organized structure. Their activities pose a direct threat to security, the economy, and public stability.
Mike Waltz added that US President Donald Trump has clearly stated that all of the country's capabilities will be used in the fight against drug cartels. The US administration has identified the complete neutralization of these networks as a priority objective.
