US Central Command (CENTCOM) forces will begin to impose a blockade against all maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports, in accordance with the president's decree. This measure will come into force on April 13 at 18:00 (Baku time).

The editorial office reports that the blockade will be applied impartially against vessels of all nations entering or exiting Iranian ports and coastal areas, including all Iranian ports in the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. However, CENTCOM forces will not restrict freedom of navigation for vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz to or from ports outside Iran.

It is reported that additional information will be provided to commercial mariners via an official notice before the blockade begins. All mariners are advised to monitor Notices to Mariners broadcasts and to contact US naval forces on bridge-to-bridge Channel 16 when operating near the Gulf of Oman and the Strait of Hormuz.
