The 2026 World Cup, a tournament jointly organized by the USA, Mexico, and Canada, will commence on Thursday, June 11th, at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City. The intense competition, which will last for six weeks, will conclude with the final game on Sunday, July 19th, at the MetLife Stadium in New York, with a seating capacity of 82,500 spectators.

Redaksiya reports that a total of 104 matches will be played in 16 different stadiums across 4 different time zones during the 2026 World Cup. The USA will host 78 of these matches.

FIFA, which generated $7 billion in revenue from the 2022 World Cup held in Qatar, forecasts this figure to reach $11 billion in 2026. As a result of the increased number of participating countries, Cape Verde, Curaçao, Jordan, and Uzbekistan have earned the right to participate in the World Cup for the first time in their history.
