“With the liberation of Zangilan, our country's geopolitical power increased, and the military-political landscape of the Karabakh Victory was completed.”
Military prosecutor Bahruz Ahmadov said these words at the conference on the topic “Five Years of Victory: The Triumph of Statehood and Law.”
He stated that the tricolor flag waving in this land today is a symbol of our state's sovereignty, our people's unity, and the victory written with the blood of our brave sons:
“The main pillar and symbol of honor of this victory is, of course, the Azerbaijani Army. We bow our heads in deep respect before the bravery, valor, self-sacrifice, and love for the Motherland of our Army. From soldier to officer, every fighter showed unparalleled heroism with their blood and lives for the freedom of these lands and the integrity of the state. Their bravery, loyalty to their oath, and devotion to the state and people were written on the golden pages of our Victory history. The Azerbaijani soldier fought on the battlefield not only with weapons but also with faith, spirit, and belief in justice. As he gave his life for the Motherland, he left pride to his people and freedom as a legacy to future generations.”
The military prosecutor noted that during the war, the Prosecutor General personally visited the cities of Ganja and Barda, which were subjected to rocket fire, as well as Tartar district in extremely dangerous conditions while active battles were still ongoing:
“He assessed the situation at the scene and presented the realities of Azerbaijan with substantial facts at briefings attended by nearly 30 ambassadors and their deputies, 19 other employees of the diplomatic corps, and more than 30 representatives of local and foreign media.”
