Our hero, Khayal Mammadov, who joined the Patriotic War in September 2020, bravely participated in the battles for the liberation of Jabrayil, Hadrut, Fuzuli, Zangilan, and Gubadli. On October 20, during the Gubadli battles, he ascended to the peak of martyrdom as a result of a sniper bullet.
During his lifetime, Khayal Mammadov was awarded the 95th and 100th Anniversary Jubilee Medals of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and posthumously, by relevant orders of President Ilham Aliyev, he was awarded the medals "For the Motherland," "For the Liberation of Jabrayil," "For the Liberation of Gubadli," and "For the Liberation of Fuzuli," as well as the 3rd-degree "For Service to the Motherland" Order.
The family of our martyr receives regular support from the "YAŞAT" Fund in accordance with its areas of activity.
It should be noted that Khayal Mammadov's father, Aghabey Mammadov, has also passed away. We pray for mercy from Allah for both our martyr and his father, and patience for their family members and loved ones.
