Around 05:00 AM today, erosion was observed on a small section of the historical Castle walls at Kiçik Qala street, specifically where turrets number 13-14 intersect.
Information regarding this was provided by the "Icherisheher" State Historical-Architectural Reserve Department.
It was stated that, according to the preliminary opinion of specialists, the main causes of the erosion are humidity and natural erosion processes resulting from the incessant atmospheric precipitation observed in recent days:
“From the moment the incident occurred, the Department immediately took operational measures, the aforementioned area was brought under full control, and necessary preventive steps were taken for the safety of citizens. Currently, work has begun to eliminate the situation that has arisen in that part of the historical monument.
The protection of our historical heritage and the safety of citizens is a priority in the Department's activities, and the process is constantly kept under attention.”
