Starting from July 23 this year, foreign citizens will be able to visit the cities of Shusha, Lachin, Aghdam, Fuzuli, Khojaly, and Khankendi in Azerbaijan's liberated territories, both with individual vehicles and in groups, by obtaining the relevant permit.
The editorial office reports this based on information jointly disseminated by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and the State Tourism Agency.
This opportunity will apply to foreign citizens visiting Azerbaijan for up to 90 days, as well as those who have temporary or permanent residency permits in our country.
Foreign citizens wishing to visit the aforementioned territories with individual passenger cars will be able to realize their visits by obtaining a permit through the “Yolumuz Qarabağa” (Our Path to Karabakh) portal (www.yolumuzqarabaga.az).
Relevant windows have been created on the portal for entering passport information of foreign citizens, and functionality in English and Russian has been provided on the portal to ensure accessibility.
Individuals driving private passenger cars must familiarize themselves with the rules regarding the visit and educational information about mine safety via the “Yolumuz Qarabağa” portal, and also inform accompanying travelers about this. After passing the relevant checks and entering the liberated territories, they must not deviate from the route to ensure mine safety, be careful at intersections, and adhere to the rules throughout the travel route.
Foreign citizens can also obtain information about hotels and other accommodation facilities operating in the directions they visit via the “Yolumuz Qarabağa” portal.
Furthermore, foreigners can also visit the liberated territories in groups. Group tours will be conducted by tourism companies registered as tour operators in the Tourism Register.
We also inform that foreign citizens who make reservations at hotels operating in the aforementioned territories will obtain entry permits to the area.
The formalized permits will be valid for 5 days.
