On November 16, the opening ceremony of the "Velo-Park – Healthy Youth, Green Campus" project was held, organized by Mingachevir State University (MSU) with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation (AzVIF).
The editorial office reports that the project, held within the framework of MSU's new "2030 Development Strategy" and "Green Campus" concept, was launched with a symbolic bike ride. A group of 70 active female students set off from in front of MSU's main academic building and finished in front of the "Kura" Olympic Training and Sports Center (OTSC).
The event began with a minute of silence in memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, our heroes martyred for the Motherland, and the Turkish servicemen who died in the plane crash on November 11, followed by the playing of the State Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
At the event, speeches were delivered by MSU Rector Anar Eminov, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, and Bakhtiyar Mustafayev, Chairman of the Mingachevir City Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party.
Finally, letters of appreciation were presented to individuals who actively participated in the organization of the project, and certificates were given to the 70 female students selected for the project for their participation.
It should be noted that within the framework of this program, which more than 400 students applied for since the project was announced, educational trainings, cycling courses, and city tours were organized for the participants.
