A court hearing was held in the Sabail District Court of Baku to select a pre-trial detention measure for Ramil Ramiz oglu Aliyev, born in 1991, and Ismayil Buludkhan oglu Hasanov, born in 1974, regarding a criminal case investigated by the State Security Service (SSS).
"Report" informs that it is clear from the case materials that these individuals, identified and apprehended as a result of operational-search measures carried out by the SSS and presented to the investigation, committed various criminal acts abroad and in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Namely, they were convicted for committing intentional murder, other serious and particularly serious crimes against individuals in a foreign country, and while serving their sentences in that country's correctional facilities, they were personally selected by Y. Prigozhin, who was the leader of the 'Wagner' armed group, diverted from serving their sentences, and involved in various military operations in exchange for agreed-upon funds.
They participated in training and combat operations using firearms and explosives in the territories of various countries, and engaged in activities aimed at inciting other citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan to commit such acts outside the country's borders.
Currently, investigations are underway regarding the criminal case involving Ramil Aliyev and Ismayil Hasanov, as well as other criminal acts against citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan and foreign countries.
Based on the results of the court review, a pre-trial detention measure for a period of 4 months was selected for Ramil Aliyev and Ismayil Hasanov.
