US President Donald Trump made a statement regarding the talks held with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The editorial office reports that, according to Trump, his special envoy Steve Witkoff held a “very productive meeting” with Putin and “great progress” was made in the talks.
“I later informed some of our European allies. Everyone agrees that this war must end, and we will work towards that in the coming days and weeks,” Trump stated.
The President's statement is regarded as a sign that the US is accelerating its initiatives aimed at a diplomatic resolution of the conflict.
