US President Donald Trump humorously recounted his meeting with Akio Toyoda, the owner of the Japanese car manufacturer “Toyota”.
The editorial office reports that Trump said during his speech: “Yesterday I met Akio Toyoda, the owner of ‘Toyota’. I asked him, ‘What’s your name?’ He replied, ‘Toyoda’. And I said, ‘You are rich.’”
Trump’s words were met with laughter in the hall. During his speech, the US President also emphasized that economic relations with Japan would “further strengthen”.
