On September 3, 2025, a presentation ceremony for the book “Artificial Intelligence and Law,” which was translated into Azerbaijani and published within the framework of a project implemented by the Public Association of Young Lawyers with the financial support of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was held for mediators at the Academy of Justice of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The event was attended by the author of the book, Prof. Dr. Ergin Ergül, a professor at Medipol University in Turkey, Elchin Khalafov, Vice-Rector of the Academy of Justice, Nadir Adilov, Chairman of the Board of the Mediation Council, as well as mediators.
Speaking at the event, Elchin Khalafov, Vice-Rector of the Academy of Justice, and Nadir Adilov, Chairman of the Board of the Mediation Council, emphasized the importance of mediators' professional development and the application of modern approaches in the legal system.
During the event, extensive information was also provided about the book “Artificial Intelligence and Law,” written by Professor Dr. Ergin Ergül of Ankara Medipol University. In his speech, the author shared his thoughts with the participants on the purpose of writing the book, the impact of artificial intelligence on the legal system, and future development prospects.
The foreword of the book was written by Ms. Sabina Aliyeva, Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The reviewers of the book, which aims to provide an insight into the interaction between artificial intelligence and law in the digital age, are Doctor of Law, Professor Jeyhun Garajayev, and Aydin Safikhanli, Head of the Apparatus of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Zaur Aliyev, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Baku State University and Doctor of Philosophy in Law, and Nadir Adilov, Chairman of the Board of the Mediation Council and Doctor of Philosophy in Law.
At the end of the event, the book was provided free of charge to every participating mediator.
