SOCAR's Kulevi oil terminal plans to transship 3 million tons of products this year.

APA-Economics reports that this was stated by Ismail Karimov, General Director of "Black Sea Terminal" (SOCAR's terminal located on the Black Sea coast), in an interview with APA-Economics within the framework of the II Caspian and Central Asia Oil Trade and Logistics Forum organized by "GLENMAR Group".

According to him, last year this indicator was 2.5 million tons. Thus, this year "Black Sea Terminal" can increase its transshipment figures by 20%.

"This goal is planned to be achieved through infrastructure improvement and acceleration of turnover," Ismail Karimov noted.

According to him, a project for the construction of four new storage tanks, each with a capacity of 20 thousand cubic meters (80 thousand cubic meters in total), is currently being implemented at the Kulevi terminal. The contractor company plans to complete the work by the middle of next year.

The investment cost of the project is 25 million dollars and is financed by the terminal itself.

It should be noted that the current storage capacity of the terminal is 407 thousand cubic meters.
