Northern Cyprus's new president Tufan Erhürman delivered his message today

Tufan Erhürman won the elections held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and was elected president. Erhürman stated that in the measures he initiated after the voting, he would prioritize unity, institutional stability, and economic-social reforms.

The editorial office reports that in his first statement, the new president emphasized, “Every issue in foreign policy will be managed in consultation with the Republic of Turkey”. He declared directions such as regional stability, energy security, and the expansion of trade and transport links as priorities.

Erhürman stated that strengthening political dialogue, reinforcing legal state institutions, and establishing a competitive economic environment for youth would be among the main goals. It was noted that in the new phase, steps would be taken towards transparency in state administration, social welfare, and the expansion of international relations.
