Saudi Arabia is reportedly planning to expand alcohol sales on a limited basis for non-Muslim foreign representatives. According to reports, one of the new sales points is intended for the Aramco complex in Dhahran, and the other for the diplomatic corps in Jeddah.
The editorial office, citing a source, reports that while the opening of these stores is expected in 2026, no official date or information about regulatory changes has been disclosed yet. It is noted that this step is considered a continuation of the first limited-access alcohol store opened last year in the capital, Riyadh.
It is reported that alcohol sales will only be permitted for foreigners belonging to a limited category, and this is planned to be carried out within the country's strict legal framework. This process is regarded as another step demonstrating the gradual continuation of social and economic reforms in Saudi Arabia.
