There is no need to wait an hour after waking up before drinking coffee in the mornings. You can have your first coffee 25-30 minutes after waking.
This was stated by British doctor Rob Galloway.
He explained that cortisol levels rise in the first 30-60 minutes after waking, but in people who regularly drink coffee, tolerance to caffeine develops:
"As a result, the drink has almost no effect on natural hormonal changes."
The doctor stated that there is no ideal time for coffee, as much depends on individual caffeine sensitivity and habits. He emphasized that the strict prohibition on coffee within the first hour after sleep has no physiological basis. (Publika.az)
