Former MNS colonel and security expert Ilham Ismayil has been detained.
The editorial office reports, citing “Unikal,” that the expert is accused of fraud.
Ilham Ismayil, through his son Javidan Ismayilzade, promised the victim Emin Mammadzade that he would bring a car from Germany. The promised car was a 2018 Range Rover valued at 54,000 US dollars.
I. Ismayil initially received 20,000 US dollars (34,000 manats) from E. Mammadzade. After some time, seeing that the car had not been brought into the country, E. Mammadzade filed a complaint with the police regarding the matter.
In connection with the fraud, a criminal case has been initiated against Ilham Ismayil under Article 178.2.4 of the Criminal Code (fraud causing significant damage). He was detained yesterday by employees of the Nasimi District Police Department.
