The recent attacks against the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, have once again drawn the international community's attention to the horrors of this war. These attacks occur amidst an increase in the intensity of military operations carried out by Russia, leading to a further escalation of the situation in the region.

Redaksiya reports that NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, in his statement regarding Russia's attacks on Kyiv, called on the parties to be cautious and to support Ukraine in ensuring lasting peace. Rutte emphasized that a "naive" approach to the conflict is unacceptable and noted the importance of providing the necessary support for Ukraine to defend itself. According to him, NATO member countries will continue to provide military, financial, and humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Rutte also stated that Russia's actions are contrary to international law and that such acts should not go unpunished. The NATO Secretary General also stressed the importance of a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, calling on the parties to sit down at the negotiating table.

Meanwhile, concerns about the safety of the civilian population are increasing as a result of the attacks on Kyiv. International organizations state that the humanitarian situation in the region is deteriorating and that the protection of civilians must be a priority. The Ukrainian government demands that the international community impose tougher sanctions against Russia and send more military aid to the country.
