It is claimed that Russia might be behind the armed attack attempt that occurred in Khankendi on September 14.

The editorial office reports that during the incident, Karen Avanesyan, born in 1967, took a “Kalashnikov” assault rifle, ammunition, and five hand grenades he had hidden in a wooded area and attempted to approach the location where an event was being held. Avanesyan, who was detained by the police, reportedly opened fire on security forces and threw grenades. The Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan and the State Security Service are conducting a joint investigation into the incident.

In an interview with Turkey's GDH media, Armenian journalist Natali Aleksanyan stated that “this attack could not have been the act of a lone individual.” She claimed that the attack was “a premeditated provocation carried out with Russia's approval.” Aleksanyan said the purpose of the attack was to re-escalate tensions in the region and emphasized the importance of preventing this.
