A new decision has been made regarding gold exports in the Russian Federation. This decision was published in the country's legal information system through a decree approved by Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to the new rules, the export of gold bars exceeding 100 grams from the country by companies or individuals is prohibited.

Redaksiya reports that this decision coincides with a period of increasing gold reserves in the Russian Federation. Specifically, by November 2025, the Russian Federation's gold reserves exceeded the threshold of 300 billion US dollars for the first time. At the same time, the share of gold in the country's international reserves rose above 40 percent.

Furthermore, it was reported that the total transaction volume in the precious metals market on the Moscow Exchange (MOEX) in 2025 more than tripled compared to the previous year, reaching 3 trillion rubles (approximately 38 billion US dollars). These indicators confirm the growing interest and activity in the gold market of the Russian Federation.
