Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has refuted the statements made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky regarding damage to the "Druzhba" oil pipeline.
The editorial board reports that Fico stated he had seen satellite images proving the pipeline is operational. According to him, there is no damage on a scale that would impede oil supplies to Slovakia, Hungary, and Europe.
The prime minister added that the main line of the "Druzhba" oil pipeline is undamaged, and there might only be a minor issue with a small reserve tank. He noted that Zelensky is lying, and this has been proven.
Fico also emphasized that Volodymyr Zelensky is not allowing anyone, not even Slovakia's ambassador in Kyiv or any inspection team, to examine the "Druzhba" pipeline. He claimed that Zelensky is either afraid of the truth or is buying time to destroy the oil pipeline.
It should be noted that the transit of Russian oil to Slovakia and Hungary was halted on February 13. Kyiv stated that equipment was damaged in the western part of the country but provided no evidence to support this claim.
