The criminal case investigated in connection with the illegal actions of an official of the Central Military Medical Commission of the Ministry of Defense has been sent to court.
The investigation into the criminal case initiated at the Main Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General regarding Rasim Alosvat oglu Hasanov's receipt of bribes in various amounts from citizens and his commission of other illegal acts during his tenure as the head of the Central Military Medical Commission of the Ministry of Defense has been completed.
The preliminary investigation established reasonable suspicions that Rasim Hasanov, while working in the aforementioned positions in 2021-2025, abused his official powers by repeatedly receiving money in various amounts from individuals as bribes for the certification and discharge of military personnel who applied to him, and committed official forgery.
Based on the collected evidence, Rasim Hasanov was charged under Articles 311.3.2, 311.3.3 (repeatedly receiving a large amount of bribe), 313 (official forgery), and 341.2.3 (abuse of official powers leading to grave consequences) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and a pre-trial detention measure was chosen against him by a court decision based on the motion of the investigative body and the submission of the prosecutor exercising procedural guidance over the preliminary investigation.
The criminal case has been sent to the Baku Military Court for consideration according to its jurisdiction. At the same time, the preliminary investigation continues, with the criminal case related to persons who participated in committing similar acts being separated into a separate proceeding.
