Reforms in the Valuation Sector and Economic Relations Discussed

A delegation led by Vugar Oruj, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Society of Appraisers (ASA), met with His Excellency Edgars Skujas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The meeting was attended by Farid Rustamov, First Deputy Chairman of ASA, and Iradə Şükürova, Advisor to the Chairman. During the reception, held in a cordial atmosphere, the ASA leadership provided the Ambassador with extensive information about the strategic steps taken by the organization to improve the valuation sector in our country and align it with international standards.

One of the main topics of discussion was the historical ties between Azerbaijan and Latvia, as well as the current state and prospects of economic cooperation. The meeting specifically touched upon the dynamic growth rate of Azerbaijan's real estate market, the institutional reforms implemented in this area, and the state policy aimed at increasing transparency.

Vugar Oruj noted that such meetings are of significant importance for the Azerbaijani valuation market to benefit from European experience and for mutual exchange of expertise. Ambassador Edgars Skujas, in turn, emphasized the importance of developing valuation activities, a component of the economy, for the investment environment and highly appreciated the relevance of the issues discussed.
