The "Regional Ecological Summit - 2026" commenced today in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
Aygün Əliyeva, Chairperson of the Board of the NGO Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Afərin Quliyeva, an employee of the Agency, participated in the opening session of the event and in the “8th Central Asian Conference on Climate Change (CACCC-2026) – “NDCs 3.0: From Commitments to Action” (8th Central Asian Conference on Climate Change – “Nationally Determined Contributions 3.0: From Commitments to Action”) event.
The event is dedicated to the theme "Vision for a Common Sustainable Future" and will continue until April 24.
Within the framework of the summit, the ministerial dialogue held under the Tehran Convention and issues of environmental security in the Caspian Sea region are in the special focus of attention.
