In absentia arrest warrants have been issued for Ganimat Zayıdov (Ganimat Zahid) and Fuad Gahramanli.

This was stated in information released by the State Security Service.

The SSS statement noted that since the beginning of 2013, Ganimat Zayıdov, on behalf of Ali Karimli, had entered into secret negotiations with representatives of foreign special services, requesting their extensive organizational and special capabilities to bring him to power in the Republic of Azerbaijan. In return, he promised to ensure the strategic interests of the foreign state in Azerbaijan by detailing specific terms. Furthermore, the parties agreed that if Ali Karimli came to power, the Republic of Azerbaijan would gradually become a full member of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

At the same time, according to the accusation, Ali Karimli, in accordance with a prior general agreement with the aforementioned individuals, continued criminal activities. During the march of Azerbaijani citizens in Baku on the night of July 14-15, 2020, against Armenia's aggressive war in the Karabakh region and in support of the army, Fuad Gahramanli and others were instructed to form small groups with party representatives, join the march participants, and then replace patriotic slogans with provocative calls to create chaos. Taking advantage of this situation, they were to seize administrative buildings of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" CJSC, and declare the seizure of power through mass media.

It was reported that for their participation in criminal acts, Abbas Abbasov, Ali Karimli, Fuad Gahramanli, Mammad Ibrahim, and Ganimat Zayıdov were charged under Articles 278.1 (actions aimed at the forceful seizure or retention of power, or the forceful change of the constitutional order of the state), 32.5, 278.1 (aiding and abetting actions aimed at the forceful seizure or retention of power, or the forceful change of the constitutional order of the state) for Eldar Amirov, and 193-1.3.2 (legalization of property obtained through criminal means in a significant amount), 274 (treason), and 278.1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Ramiz Mehdiyev. They were held responsible as accused persons.

Since Abbas Abbasov, Fuad Gahramanli, and Ganimat Zayıdov are outside the territory of Azerbaijan and are hiding from the investigation, search warrants have been issued for them, and the court has chosen in absentia arrest as a preventive measure.
