Former Member of Parliament Galib Salahzadeh is planning to embark on his Hajj pilgrimage once again.

He shared this information in a statement to İqtisadiyyat.az.

Recalling that he has performed the Hajj pilgrimage 36 times so far, G. Salahzadeh stated that he is preparing to visit the Holy Kaaba once more:

“I have gone for Hajj every year. I have always asked God to grant me the opportunity to visit the Kaaba and perform two rak'ahs of prayer there as long as I am healthy. There have been years when I went for Hajj twice. So far, I have performed the Hajj pilgrimage a total of 36 times. I haven't gone this year yet, but if God wills, I will go again. On two occasions, my friends created the conditions for me, and I was inside the Kaaba.”

G. Salahzadeh also announced that he has sent over 500 people on Hajj pilgrimage so far: “At that time, when we traveled by bus, there were times when I sent 100-150 people at once. Later, I sent people on Hajj pilgrimage in groups of 20, 30, and 50. I didn't do it myself. God simply willed for them to go on Hajj, and I was merely an intermediary in this matter; God gave me this opportunity.”

It should be noted that G. Salahzadeh, born in 1953, is the father-in-law of Allahshukur Pashazadeh, the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO). He served as a Member of Parliament for the 27th Sabunchu Second Constituency from 2010 to 2015.

For your information, the CMO has set the price of the pilgrimage package for one person at 6100 US dollars for this year's Hajj season.
