An awareness-raising event on the topic of “Gender Equality in Labor Relations – Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities” was held in the city of Sabirabad for employers by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, the State Labor Inspectorate Service under the Ministry, and the State Employment Agency under the Ministry.
The event was held based on analyses conducted in the “Labor and Employment” (ƏMAS) subsystem, with the participation of employers working in enterprises where women are relatively underrepresented in various types of economic activity.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry and its subordinate bodies, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, representatives of public associations, as well as over 30 individuals representing state and private sector enterprises and organizations from the districts covered by the Mil-Mughan regional department of the State Labor Inspectorate Service.
At the meeting, participants were provided with detailed information on the results of international analyses in the field, reforms implemented in labor legislation in recent years, the importance of regular awareness-raising events organized by the State Labor Inspectorate Service in this direction, concessions, privileges, and additional guarantees provided for in the Labor Code and other normative legal acts related to labor legislation, as well as the services offered by the State Employment Agency for employers.
Also at the event, information was provided about the World Bank Group's “Business Ready” rating report. Finally, participants' questions related to the topic were answered.
