Prime Cotton, part of GP Cotton Holdings, a leading company in Azerbaijan's cotton sector, held meetings with farmers and agronomists in Yevlax on July 30 and in Beyləqan on July 31. The main purpose of the events was to exchange knowledge based on field experience, share modern approaches to pest control and plant nutrition, and also to introduce the innovative technological solutions implemented by the company.

At the Yevlax meeting, a total of 20 people – one agronomist and three farmers from each district – participated from Barda, Tartar, Agjabadi, Aghdam, and Yevlax districts. Representatives from Bilasuvar, Saatli, Neftchala, Beyləqan, and Salyan districts participated in the same format at the event in Beyləqan.

At both events, Prime Cotton's technical team provided detailed information about new technologies successfully applied in field conditions, and farmers became acquainted with practical knowledge on various topics.

The general objective of these meetings is to strengthen a sustainable cooperation model with farmers, to transfer scientific and practical knowledge to the field, and to increase the competitiveness of local producers. Thanks to practical education, farmers can transition to more efficient, high-quality, and environmentally sustainable production.

Khalid Zeynalli, Head of Agronomy Management Department at Prime Cotton, commented on the meetings:

“Despite the hot weather conditions, the event participants showed high activity and eagerly absorbed new knowledge. I hope that the information we shared will soon show its effect in the farmers' activities and will lead to an increase in productivity and quality in the fields.”

At the end of the event, the participants emphasized that such initiatives by Prime Cotton contribute to the establishment of knowledgeable and sustainable production in local agriculture and expressed their gratitude.

It should be noted that such educational events are planned to be implemented in stages, covering all cotton-growing districts where it operates. The goal is to organize knowledge and experience sharing aimed at the development of cotton growing on a systematic and continuous basis.
