Agrarian Business and Cotton Festival Held in Honor of Prime Cotton's 30th Anniversary

An Agrarian Business and “Cotton Festival” dedicated to the 30th anniversary of “Prime Cotton” company was held in Saatlı district, co-organized by the Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, Saatlı District Executive Power, and “Prime Cotton” LLC.

The festival aimed to develop public and private partnerships in the country's agricultural sector, and to support local producers and innovations.

Established in 1995, "Prime Cotton" today operates as part of the “GP Cotton Holdings” group and possesses a fully integrated system that combines all production stages, from cotton to yarn and finished products. 

Over 30 years, the company has promoted the “Made in Azerbaijan” brand in more than 20 countries, established cooperation with nearly 7,000 farmers, and developed its operations with international "OEKO-TEX®️","Sedex", "ICA", "Higg Index" certifications. It is also actively preparing to obtain international certifications such as BCI, NOP, GOTS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

In addition, "Prime Cotton" has initiated the implementation of a science-based origin and traceability system in Azerbaijan's cotton production, in cooperation with Geodentify Ltd (UK).

As part of the anniversary events, a Bootcamp program titled “Application of Artificial Intelligence in Precision Agriculture” was held on November 3 at the Saatlı branch of "Prime Cotton" company.

In the program, attended by students from nearly 20 higher education institutions, young people presented their projects on digital agriculture, artificial intelligence applications, and agrarian innovations.

The Agrarian Business and Cotton Festival, held on November 4 at H. Aliyev Park in Saatlı, showcased "Prime Cotton"'s 30-year journey and the company's leading role in the agricultural sector. 

The festival aimed to promote agricultural potential and increase state and private sector support for farmers.

The event was attended by farmers, entrepreneurs, representatives of state institutions and agricultural companies, as well as students from higher education institutions operating in the agricultural sector.

In the final part of the festival, farmers and employees who have cooperated with "Prime Cotton" company for more than 20 years were honored with special awards. The event continued with a concert program organized by the Saatlı Culture Center.

“This anniversary is not just a date; it is the triumph of our love for the land, our trust forged through hard work. We move forward on this path with loyalty to the land, hope for the future, and confidence in our people,” emphasized Rövşən Mahmudov, CEO of "Prime Cotton" company.

Concurrently, a video dedicated to "Prime Cotton"'s 30th anniversary was screened as part of the festival.
