Prime Cotton LLC, part of GP Cotton Holdings, which holds a leading position in Azerbaijan's cotton growing and textile industry, organized the traditional "Open Field Day" event in Yevlax district.
The event was attended by the company's management, nearly 200 farmers and agronomists from 15 regions where cotton is grown, representatives of local and international seed and pesticide companies, as well as employees of the Agrarian Insurance Agency.

The purpose of the event was to strengthen cooperation among farmers, expand partnership opportunities in agrotechnical services, and share the results of cotton trial plantings conducted in Prime Cotton's innovative farms.

Participants visited the experimental cotton fields at Prime Cotton's Yevlax Innovation Branch. Here, farmers familiarized themselves with the development indicators of cotton bushes planted from various seed varieties, made observations regarding plant health, boll count, distance between branches, and root system. Farmers also directly addressed questions to representatives of local and foreign seed suppliers.

After the field visit, a conference was held in Naftalan city. Rövşən Mahmudov, CEO of Prime Cotton, provided information on the company's work to date, applied innovative technologies, and development goals in his opening speech, stating:

“As Prime Cotton, our greatest strength is our farmers. 'Open Field Day' is not just about presenting new technologies, but also a strategic step we take together with our network of over 7,000 farmers on the path of development. Our goal is to make cotton growing more efficient, sustainable, and competitive in international markets.”

Company representatives highlighted as strategic development directions the application of modern technologies, the expansion of Pima cotton cultivation areas, the development of agricultural services, and international cooperation opportunities.

Within the framework of the event, seed and pesticide companies made presentations for farmers, presenting innovations regarding new seed varieties, fertilization and plant protection products, modern irrigation technologies, and insurance mechanisms.

A representative of the Agrarian Insurance Fund spoke about the challenges farmers face in the process of insuring their cotton fields and provided practical recommendations for reducing risks.

"Open Field Day" is considered an important part of Prime Cotton's strategic approach. This platform created extensive opportunities for knowledge exchange, discussion of existing problems, and setting future goals among farmers, suppliers, and the company. Farmers highly appreciated this event, held in Prime Cotton's 30th anniversary year, in terms of experience sharing and cooperation.
