Prime Cotton, one of Azerbaijan's leading companies in the cotton and textile industry, has once again confirmed its compliance with international quality and responsibility standards. The company announced that its products have been certified with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 – Product Class I (Baby Articles).

This prestigious certificate not only proves that Prime Cotton's yarns are completely safe even for children and people with allergies but also confirms that the products meet the highest international safety and quality standards. This achievement by the company also demonstrates the growing reputation of Azerbaijan's cotton industry in the global arena.

Prime Cotton's achievements from international organizations do not end there. The company has already officially confirmed its adherence to social, ethical, and environmental responsibility

principles in the global supply chain as a Sedex Supplier Plus member. At the same time, membership in the International Cotton Association (ICA) has enabled the company to demonstrate its commitment to the principles of reliability and transparency in international cotton trade.

Furthermore, Prime Cotton has successfully completed the Higg FEM Self-Assessment phase conducted by Cascale, obtaining the Higg Index certificate. This assessment confirms that the enterprise measures and develops its environmental and social sustainability indicators at an international level.

Currently, Prime Cotton has also initiated the certification process within the framework of the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI). In addition, the company is actively preparing to obtain international certificates such as NOP, GOTS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. These steps demonstrate Prime Cotton's commitment not only to producing quality products but also to the principles of sustainable development, environmental protection, and occupational safety.

Rovshan Mahmudov, CEO of Prime Cotton, stated:

“For us, quality is not just a promise – it is a living principle at every stage of production.

The acquisition of the OEKO-TEX® certificate, Sedex and ICA memberships, as well as our activities aimed at BCI and other international standards, demonstrate our company's commitment to reliability and responsibility values in the global market.

In addition, together with our international partner Geodentify, we have launched an important project aimed at creating a system where the origin and supply chain of cotton can be scientifically traced. Through this system, a unique isotopic and elemental “signature” will be identified in the cotton from each farm, ensuring the scientific verification of the product's origin.

This program, based on Geodentify's advanced SIRA and TEA analyses, will further strengthen Prime Cotton's “dirt-to-shirt” concept, providing the company with transparency, reliability, and a competitive advantage in international markets.”

It should be noted that "Prime Cotton" LLC is a leading Azerbaijani company in the cotton industry with 30 years of experience. As part of "GP Cotton Holdings," Prime Cotton is involved in the production of raw cotton, as well as lint, yarn, cottonseed oil, and cottonseed meal. The company offers competitive products in local and international markets through modern technologies, a sustainable production chain, and a quality-based approach.
