President Signs Decree on Diplomatic Service Admissions

The rules for holding a competition for admission to the diplomatic service and for the pre-interview review of documents submitted by individuals applying for admission to the diplomatic service have been approved.

The editorial office reports that President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree in this regard.

According to the rules, the competition for admission to the diplomatic service will be held on the principles of fairness and transparency. The competition consists of a written exam and an interview. The written exam stage of the competition will be conducted by the State Examination Center upon the order of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the interview stage will be conducted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The competition will be organized based on humanitarian and social, economics and management

specialty groups, as well as public health, state security and management, public safety and management, border security and management specialties, in accordance with the classification of higher education specialties determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.

Admission to the diplomatic service in Azerbaijan's diplomatic missions and consulates will be carried out based on the appointments of the President of Azerbaijan and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
